How to Configure ADSL Modem

1.Go to Start  Button>>> take Run (type Run in the search programs & files bar)
 2.In the Run type cmd 

3. The following command prompt window will come with a path and blinking cursor at the end. 

4.type ipconfig and press Enter key5.You will get a window displaying the follwing details

6. Select and copy the  Default gateway IP address.
7.Click open your browser and paste the copied gateway IP address in the address bar of the  browser.

8.Now you can start configuring your DSL modem by clicking  gateway.

9.Pick a task set up my gateway will come in it you have to enter in the corresponding fields your      User name and Password provided by the ISP(Internet Service Providers) and get connected to    the internet.

10.Click back to Home  to configure wireless 

11.In Home network>>wireless>>Configure>> Security mode>>Enable it

12.Give the password(10 character or number) in the corresponding filed.

13.Select WSP (note that this will secure the wireless connection and it is better option than WEP).
